BIRMINGHAM, Ala – Southern Utah University distance runner Nate Osterstock competed in the men's mile at NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships on Friday, March 11th, and finished in 13th place overall with a time of 4:03.27. 

Illinois's senior Jonathan Davis took the title with a time of 3:57.04, while Michigan State's Morgan Beadlescomb finished in second, Drake's Isaac Basten grabbed third place. 

Osterstock now closes an outstanding indoor season where he earned multiple top finishes in the 3000 Meter, 800 Meter, and the mile. The redshirt senior qualified for nationals for the first time in his career and earned six top-three finishes during the entire indoor season. 

The Southern Utah Track and Field program will now prepare for their outdoor season that is just weeks away.
