FARMINGTON, Utah - The Big Sky Conference announced their regular season awards for men's golf, and Southern Utah University golfer Tyler Jones earned All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition.
Jones, a junior from Highland, Utah, put together a strong season that included three top-50 finishes, and one top-25 finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
Jones compiled an average score of 74.13 over 15 rounds of play, and finished the regular season with a low round of 69 (-3) at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational where he shot even par over three rounds of play.
Jones and the rest of the Southern Utah men's golf began first round play at the Big Sky Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. this morning. The tournament will consist of one, 18-hole round each day, and will continue through Wednesday.
