CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Southern Utah University men's golf team completed play at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic Tuesday afternoon, posting a 25th-place finish.

Tyler Jones was the top individual finisher for the Thunderbirds with a final score of 219 to place him three over par for the tournament. Jones' efforts placed him in 65th overall on the individual leaderboard.

As a team, SUU recorded a 40-over-par 904. Tuesday was Southern Utah's best of the three rounds as the T-Birds carded a 299 after rounds of 301 and 304.

Rashon Williams had a big final round, shooting a 69 Tuesday to help him climb 11 spots in the standings. With an 11-over-par 227, Williams finished 113th overall. Behind him was fellow freshman Leo Torres who finished 123rd on a 15-over-par 231.

San Diego State ran away with the team victory by scoring a 39-under-par 825. Long Beach State finished as the runner up, and Colorado State and Nevada tied for third place. Isaac Rodea of LBSU won the individual championship by shooting a 13-under-par 203 while Zihao Jin and Steve Sugimoto of San Diego State and Connor Jones of Colorado State tied for second at 12 under par.

Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun and Ryker Smith finished right behind Torres in 124th and 125th, respectively. Srichun shot a 16-over-par 232 for the tournament while Smith finished two strokes back at 234.

The T-Birds will wrap up the regular season at the UCSB Invitational April 11-12 before competing in the Big Sky Conference Championship at season's end.
