CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah men's golf will compete in the UCSB Collegiate Classic for three rounds of par-72 action over 7,040 yards. 

THE COURSE

The tournament will take place at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Goleta, California. Holes 5, 6, 11, 13 and 14 are nestled against the Pacific Ocean just up the coast from Santa Barbara.

THE FIELD

The Thunderbirds will compete against host school, UC Santa Barbara, along with California teams in Cal Poly, CSUN, UC Riverside, and Sacramento State. 

Along with Sac State, Big Sky schools, Northern Colorado and Weber State will compete against the field that is rounded out with Grand Canyon University, and Gonzaga.

LAST TIME OUT

The Thunderbirds last competed in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic where they finished in 25th as a team. Tyler Jones finished on top for SUU  with a 219 score to finish in 65th.

Rashon Williams climbed the leader board by eleven spots on the final day of competition to finish 113th overall with an 11-over-par 227. Leo Torres finished just ahead of teammates Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun and Ryker Smith, for the team to take 123rd, 124th, and 125th, respectively.
