CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah Men's Golf team will be teeing it up at the Pizza Hut/Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational Feb. 10-12. The Thunderbirds are opening their season with their lone home event, held at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah.

The T-Birds placed 12th out of 14 teams in the 2022 Pizza Hut/Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational. Tyler Jones led the team scores with a T60th (227), followed closely by Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun who was T63rd (228). Leo Torres and Jaxon Long competed as individuals and finished T57th (226) which was the best for Southern Utah. 
SUU will have seven players competing in the invitational that also competed in 2022. 
Atthaist (Anfield) Srichun T63rd (228), Seth Winterton T68th (230), Rashon Williams 75th (233), Leo Torres T57th (226), Jaxon Long T57th (226), Napat (Pun) Vorrasanpisut T76th (234), and Donovan Barnes 92nd (250). 
Tournament Details 
The tournament will take place Fri, Feb 10 through Sun, Feb 12 at the Sunbrook Golf Club. 
The tournament will be a 3-round, 3-day event playing par-72. 
Middle Tennessee St. won the tournament in 2022 by more than 20 strokes. Shooting a combined 826 (276, 274, 276). Kevin Jegers from Middle Tennessee State won the event with a total of 201 (69, 68, 64) with an impressive 64 coming on the final day. 
Participating teams: Gonzaga, Southern Utah, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, Utah State, Weber State, Stephen F Austin, North Dakota, Western Illinois, Tarleton State, and individual competitors from the University of Utah.
