PALM DESERT, California – SUU men's golf is in solo 14th after round one at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
Fresno St leads the tournament, shooting a combined two under par 286 on the first day.

The Thunderbirds
Mitchell Abbott once again lead the charge for SUU. Shooting a team best 2 over par 74. After starting with two early bogey's, Abbott fought back to even par but bogeyed his final two holes to come into the clubhouse in a tie for 28th.
Rashon Williams played a steady round of golf. Tallying 14 pars on the day, but four bogeys put him in a tie for 49th, at four over 76.
Seth Winterton had two doubles and one triple bogey that lead to a tumultuous round of 81. Putting him in a tie for 79th.
Jaxon Long rounded out the lineup, with three double bogeys and just one birdie he finished day one at 10 over par 82.
