CEDAR CITY, Utah -- SUU's soccer team will conclude their three-game road-trip with a early morning kick-off against the University of Northern Iowa on Tuesday, Aug 22 at 9 a.m. MT before returning to Cedar City for their home opener against the University of Nevada on Friday, Aug 25 at 4 p.m. at the Thunderbird Soccer Field.

Coming off a 6-6-8 season one year ago, the Panthers are off to a 2-0 start in the 2023 season with wins coming on the road at St. Thomas University and one at home against Viterbo University. The Panthers are yet to concede a goal this season and thanks to a 9-0 over Viterbo have scored 10 goals through two games.

The University of Nevada travels to Thunderbird field with a 0-1-1 record. After a loss in the season opener to fifth ranked University of Virginia, the Wolf Pack secured a 0-0 draw against Richmond University.
Nevada women's soccer team had a season to forget a year ago, totaling just three wins on the year and were 1-7-3 on the road.

Head Coach Kai Edwards has been pleased with the way his team has competed through the first two matches of the season, and expects that to continue throughout this week. The defense has gotten better in each game with Aubrey Murray and Laney Kimble leading the way, both of which played 90 minutes against South Dakota.
The offense is yet to score a goal this season but created a lot of great opportunities versus South Dakota and Edwards believes they are a couple of changes away from having a multiple goal game.
