Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. -- Southern Utah soccer earned their third draw of the season tonight against a tough California State Fullerton team. Thunderbirds record now moves to 0-2-3 on the year.
Thunderbirds scored first once again on a deep shot by Sammie Sofonia who netted her second goal of the year, a beautiful through ball from Whitney Gardner set it up. SUU was outshot 10-4 in the first half but still took a 1-0 lead into the break.
Kaylin Raibon and CSUF would tie the game up in the 54th minute on an assist from Graci Raymond.
The chess match would continue throughout the rest of the game, with neither team able to find the back of the net despite some grade-A scoring opportunities.

Quotes from Kai Edwards
"We competed at an extremely high level against a very talented team. It was a total team effort and I am extremely proud of our squad. It was a long way to travel, in front of a packed house and we earned a really good point against one of the best teams in the Big West Conference."
The T-birds will be back in action this Sunday, Sept 3 when they take on reigning Big Sky Champs Northern Arizona at 1 p.m. MT at the Thunderbird Soccer Field.
