PORTLAND, OREGON -- The Southern Utah Women's Golf team tied for fifth out of ten teams at the Portland State Invitational at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon.
Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam finished solo fifth, and Tanyatorn (Excel) Thalangkarn finished solo eighth for the Thunderbirds.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"I am happy with the way our team competed, and I am very proud of Orchid and Excel finishing in the top ten at a tough golf course."

The Thunderbirds
Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam had the best performance of her short career at Southern Utah. With rounds of 73, 72, and 77, she finished the tournament at +6 and placed fifth solo.
Tanyatorn (Excel) Thalangkarn is no stranger to the top 10, and after an opening 81, she fired rounds of 71 and 72 to battle into solo eighth and earn another top-10 finish.
Tijana Jovicevic Kovacic finished in a tie for 27th after opening with a quality round of +2. She ultimately came in at +15 for the tournament.
Anais Guibal finished T38 at +20, Ellie Olsen was T57, Kirsten Hall finished at T59, and Reece Bandemer and Camrynn Zufelt were 61st and 64th, respectively.
