FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Hayden Harward of the Southern Utah University track & field team participated in the 3000m steeplechase in the NCAA DI Western Regionals on Friday, May 24, taking sixth and earning him a spot in the NCAA DI National Championships.

"All the athletes struggled in the 5K today because of the heat. Travis also had a difficult time but put forth a great effort. Hayden had an excellent race in the Steeplechase, allowing him to move on to the NCAA national championship."
With a time of 8:40.42, Harward impressed in the 3000m steeplechase, taking third in his group and sixth overall. This finish also gives him a qualifying spot in the event at Nationals.
In the 5000m, Feeny finished 21st in his group and 38th overall with a time of 14:40.84, ahead of competitors from BYU and Stanford.

Harward will represent the Thunderbirds at the NCAA National Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The meet will run from Wednesday, June 5 to Saturday, June 8.
