Head Coach Kai Edwards said
"We are excited to play at home and in front of our fans for the first time this season. UNO is a quality opponent and are ranked ninth in this weeks West Region Poll. We have a lot of good things to build off of from our first two games and I am looking forward to watching the team continue to get better as we keep on this tough non-conference schedule."
The Thunderbirds
SUU scored two goals last week, one from Hailey Hamataka on a penalty kick, and freshman Chelsea Loeser scored a rocket from 30 yards out against the Wolfpack.
The Thunderbirds are creating many scoring opportunities, with 19 shots at UNLV and another 16 at Nevada.
Whitney Gardner leads the team with eight total shots, and Gardner, Loeser, and Steph Roper have three shots on goal.
Darya Mosallaei had five saves against Nevada, including some incredible ones from point-blank range.
The Mavericks
UNO is 1-0-1 through two games, coming off a 2-0 win against Lindenwood.
Alyssa Kellar, Lauren Schmidt, and Regan Zimmers have accounted for one goal each for the Mavericks.
