CEDAR CITY, Utah - To open their 2024 season, Southern Utah University Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will travel to Scera Park in Orem this Friday, August 30 to participate in the UVU Invitational.

"It's always great to get back and compete again. This will be a good opener for both teams. Nine teams on the men's side and nine teams on the women's side will be competing. It'll be a great fitness level test as we move into the season."

Race Info

The 2024 Wolverine Cross Country Invitational will take place at Scera Park, located less than a mile from the UVU campus. The grassy three-mile course will include three loops with minimal terrain difficulty, offering a great starting point for the athletes to work from.

The tough competition will include rivals such as host school UVU, whose women's team finished 23rd in the NCAA Championships in 2023 and the University of Utah whose women's team finished 12th.

The race will also feature Utah Tech, Idaho State, Southern Idaho, Snow College and Salt Lake Community College.

The women's race will begin at 10:00 a.m. MST, followed by the men's three-mile at 10:45 a.m.
