CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- Coming off an impressive result in the final non-conference match of the season, the Thunderbirds are headed to Riverside, California, to take on the Lancers of California Baptist.
Head Coach Kai Edwards said
"Cal Baptist is a really good team. They have an awesome facility and we are playing a night game so it should be a good crowd and fun experience. We are all 0-0 now. The lessons learned in non-conference will be displayed these next five weekends."

The Thunderbirds
SUU finished the preseason positively, defeating Sacramento State 2-1 at home and earning a 0-0 draw at Northern Arizona.Â
Whitney Gardner leads the team in goals (4), total points (11), and total shots (27). Gardner and Chelsea Loeser are tied for the lead in shots on goal with 10. Gardner and Steph Roper are tied for most assists on the team with three.Â
Darya Mosallaei has 45 saves on the year, including a very impressive 10-save game at NAU. Her save percentage is 75%.Â
The Lancers
CBU is currently 4-3-2 on the season, most recently coming off a 1-1 tie at the University of Portland. They have impressive wins over UC Riverside and San Jose State.
They have only allowed five goals through nine games but have only scored eight.Â
They're led by Kaylee Hauck, who has two goals and one assist on the year, and Morgan Witz, who has one goal and three assists. Ava Westlund also has two goals for the Lancers. Hauck leads the team in total shots (27) and shots on goal (15).Â
CBU has had two goalies play significant time this season. Bella Lister started the year and only allowed two goals in four games, but Mikayla O'Brien has started and played the last five games and has only given up three goals and has 28 saves. Currently posting a 90% save percentage.Â
