OREM, UTAH -- The SUU Women's Soccer team was in Orem, Utah, on Thursday and was outmatched on the Wolverines' senior night. Falling to the Wolverines 8-0.
SUU was without its top offensive weapon in Sarah Assumma, and the team's second leading point scorer, Whitney Gardner, was only able to play 12 minutes.
Head Coach Kai Edwards said
"Credit to UVU. We look forward to getting a couple attackers back for the match vs CBU and going after them."
Match Recap
Utah Valley was dominant throughout the match, with Faith Webber leading the way, scoring five goals. Webber scored the first four goals of the match, including three in just under three minutes.
The Wolverines took a 5-0 lead into the halftime break after Ruby Hladek was given a penalty kick in the 20th minute.
Sierra Pennock added the first goal in the second half, Webber scored her fifth, and then Sadie Beardall finished one in the 75th minute.

The Thunderbirds weren't nearly at full strength to start this match, as Sarah Assumma and Whitney Gardner were on a minutes restriction.Â
SUU was only able to record one shot on the match that came off the foot of Kayleigh Acree.
Jazmyn Brass played the first half in goal for the T-Birds and recorded five saves. Esme Barnes played the second half and recorded six saves.
