CEDAR CITY, Utah - Following a 3-0 start to the season, the Southern Utah women's basketball team will travel to Moscow, Idaho, to take on a strong University of Idaho team on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 p.m. Following the Thunderbirds' triumph over Eastern Washington, the matchup with the Vandals is the second of a two-game tour against future Big Sky Conference foes.

Off to an exciting 3-0 start to the season, Southern Utah has made excellent work of establishing and maintaining early leads.Â
Against Eastern Washington on Thursday, Nov. 13, the Thunderbirds fended off the Eagles 74-68 and logged an impressive 50 rebounds. They also shot from the free-throw line with almost perfect accuracy, completing 12 of 13.
As a team, the Thunderbirds average 84.7 points per game while holding opponents to only 62.3. They boast strong accuracy, sinking 46.2% of their shots from the field, and they have consistently dominated the boards, bringing down 49.3 rebounds per contest.
Reigning Western Athletic Conference Newcomer and Player of the Week, junior transfer Brooklyn Fely has been a star on both ends of the ball. She averages 17.3 points and 12.7 rebounds per game.
With 16.3 points per game and 12 total assists, sophomore Sierra Chambers has been a versatile asset at the point guard position. Sophomore Kortney Doman has taken her defense to the next level, averaging 10 rebounds per game.

University of Idaho Vandals
The 2-1 Vandals have run up the score while struggling defensively to start the season. Averaging a high 85.7 points per game, they've also allowed an average of 90.5 points to their Division I opponents.
Even though they've wrestled with preventing offenses from reaching big numbers, they've had no trouble forcing opponent mistakes. The University of Idaho averages a hefty 24.3 points off turnovers per game.
Five Vandals average 10 or more points, creating a well-rounded attack that could prove difficult to slow down. Senior Kyra Gardner leads the team on both ends of the court, averaging 17.3 points per game and leading the team in blocks and steals.
