CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah women's basketball team pulled out all the stops in a dazzling 69-59 comeback victory over NM State. Facing a 12-point deficit in the third quarter, sophomore star Sierra Chambers and the Thunderbirds rallied to remain undefeated at home. SUU extends its record to 7-1, while the Aggies fall to 1-6.

- Sophomore star Sierra Chambers had an astronomical second half, raining down 24 points on 70% shooting from the field. By the end of the afternoon, she'd compiled seven assists and a career-high 28 points.
- Chambers hit 10 of 10 from the charity stripe for the third time this season, pushing to a streak of 31-straight made free throws.
- Making her presence felt at the glass, junior Ava Uhrich tallied 13 rebounds and chipped in 12 points.
- Sophomore Kortney Doman dominated the defensive side of the ball, piling up four steals and three blocks.
- Shooting a perfect three of three from the perimeter in only seven minutes off the bench, junior Morgan Trigueiro provided the Thunderbirds the spark they needed in the second half.

First Half
Southern Utah tipped off to a rocky start, with the Aggies shooting efficiently and finding their way to a six-point lead. However, layups from Chambers and Uhrich cut the deficit to 17-15 as the first quarter wrapped up.
The second quarter proved to be a defensive standoff. The Thunderbirds held NM State to a minimal eight points, but scored only five points of their own, sending them into the halftime break down 25-20.
Second Half
The Aggies opened the third quarter by extending to a 12-point lead, but Trigueiro snapped their scoring spree and sparked the Southern Utah offense with back-to-back triples. Chambers capitalized on the momentum, racking up an incredible 16 third-quarter points while missing only one shot. Southern Utah headed into the final stretch down one in a 46-45 duel.
The Thunderbirds carried their momentum into a tremendous 15-3 run, highlighted by multiple scores from Uhrich and Chambers. Having secured a comfortable cushion, Southern Utah coasted to a stunning 69-59 comeback win.
