Cedar City, Utah- After a week's hiatus, the T-Birds track and field teams are back in action this weekend at the Whitworth Invitational, which begins on Friday, February 14.
Head Coach Eric Houle said:
"We will take part of the team to help prepare for the Conference meet. Others will stay home for additional training. I'm hoping that the meet will give the athletes a chance to improve on their performance."

The Thunderbirds competed at the Ron Mann Classic in Flagstaff, Arizona, two weeks ago. Ariana Baker led the women's team in the pole vault. She set a new personal record and a new school record with a jump of 12 '11.50".Â
The Thunderbirds also had two top-10 finishes in the one-mile run, with Audrey Hales finishing seventh with a time of 5:21.56 and Lydia Forsyth finishing ninth with a time of 5:22.64. In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Andie Rasmussen, Maya Benjamin, Jordyn Nielson, and Mia Kauffman finished second with a time of 3:53.30.Â
The men's team saw Jaedyn Carpenter finish first in the 400-meter race with a time of 46.94. Jaedyn also took home the WAC men's indoor track athlete of the week award. Isley Guttierez finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.42.
Daniel Gee finished seventh in the Pole Vault with a jump of 15 '05". The 4x400 meter relay team of Jaedyn Carpenter, Nick Pembroke, Kody Smith, and Jared Sharp finished second with a time of 3:15.56.Â
