Red Rocks Invitational Shortened To 18 Holes After Major Weather Delay

SEDONA, ARIZONA -- The SUU Women's Golf Team was in Sedona, Arizona, for the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona. However, an unexpected snowstorm postponed round one after nine holes. The course was deemed unplayable until Sunday afternoon, and the teams were able to finish their first 18 holes, but the tournament was ultimately shortened to just one round.

Head Coach Caylyn Ponich said

"This week's event tested our team's resilience and taught the ladies that we can only control what's controllable. Although the weather was not what we hoped for,  they were able to focus on the good things in their game as well as what they need to work on going forward. This will be important going into our final two events."

Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam struggled scoring but still turned in a six-over-par 78. Tijana Jovicevic Kovacic and Reece Bandemer both fired 80s, and Tanyatorn Excel Thalangkarn finished with an 85.
