St. George, Utah- The Thunderbirds wrapped up competition at the Utah Tech Invite on Saturday, Mar. 22.
Head Coach Eric Houle said:
"We didn't compete everybody today, but it was an excellent opening meet for the young athletes to experience."

Men's Recap and Results
The Thunderbirds were led by two top-5 finishes in the Javelin throw with Bronis MacDougall finishing second with a throw of 209'9", and Jackson Roybal finishing fifth with a throw of 166'0". Jackson Stark had two top-ten finishes in the meet. Jackson finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 48'5 ½"; he also finished eighth in the discus throw with a throw of 128'7".
In the 5000-meter run, Santiago Gaitan would finish second with a time of 14:25.74. Santiago also finished fourth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:51.03.
Isley Gutierrez would finish second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.61. In the 800-meter run, Kadan Allen finished second with a time of 1:52.15, and Tyler Saunders finished seventh with a time of 1:57.61.
Kyle McLemore finished sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.77.
Women's Recap and Results
The Thunderbirds were led by a strong performance in the 800-meter run, led by Bella Evans, who finished first with a time of 2:14.29. Josii Johnson finished fourth with a time of 2:18.43, while Adisen Stratton finished fifth with a time of 2:18.90.
In the discuss throw Morgan Blackburn finishing first and set a meet record with a throw of 155'11". Jaylee Gandert and Brooke Lynch would also finish fifth and sixth respectively in the discuss throw with Jaylee having a throw of 122'2", and Brooke having a throw of 120'10".
The Thunderbirds had another impressive run in the 3000 meter run, once again led by Bella Evans who again finished first with a time of 10:12.89. Also in the 3000-meter run, Lydia Forsyth finished fourth with a time of 10:30.20, Audrey Hales finished sixth with a time of 10:44.98, Malayna Steffensen finished eighth with a time of 10:50.74, and Sammi Stewart finished tenth with a time of 11:24.19.
In the javelin throw, Logan Lewis finished fifth with a throw of 132'2", and Jaylee Gandert finished sixth with a throw of 131'11".
