CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Women's Golf team is set to host its lone home tournament this week with the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational.
Head Coach Caylyn Ponich said
"We're excited to host this week at Sunbrook GC in St. George UT. The team has been working hard, preparing for this moment, and I know they're ready to showcase their game. We have a strong 12 team field competing this week, which will push us to be at our best. I'm confident in the work these ladies have put in. It's going to be a great week!"
Tournament Details
What: Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Southern Utah
When: March 7-9. 9:00 a.m. shotgun start
Where: St. George, Utah.
Course: Sunbrook Golf Club, Par-72, 5,905 yards.
Who: CSU Bakersfield, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah*, Stetson, UC Riverside, Utah Tech*, Utah Valley*, Weber State, Wyoming.

Format: The tournament will be three rounds over three days, with 18 holes being played each day.

Luangnam led the team last time out with a T22 finish and Guibal wasn't far behind at T25. Both players will look to continue their strong play into the Thunderbirds home tournament.
Thalangkarn has historically been the Thunderbirds' top finisher, including at last year's Lady Thunderbird Invitational, where she was solo first through 36 holes. Kovacic is making her Spring season debut and is a very talented player who has shown she can put together quality rounds.
Hall is a young freshman who has shown many positive signs early in her career and will have the opportunity to prove herself in her first home tournament.
In a practice round last week, Luangnam made her fourth career hole-in-one on the ninth hole at Sunbrook Golf Club.
