Women's Golf Makes Two Additions To 2025-26 Roster

CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- Southern Utah University's Head Women's Golf Coach Caylyn Ponich has signed two student-athletes who will join the Thunderbirds next year.



Brooklynn Maes

Hometown: Las Cruces, New Mexico

High School: Centennial High School

Previous School: Western New Mexico

Accolades: At Western New Mexico, played in all 13 tournaments, averaging a team record 74.34 in 29 rounds. Low round of 68 (-4) came at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella. Shot 70 (-2) at the LSC Championship and 71 (-1) at the Southern Colorado Open, posted 72 four times. Won the SMSU Spring Classic with 72-75. LSC Academic Honor Roll

"SUU women's golf is thrilled to welcome Brooklynn Maes, our incoming junior transfer from Las Cruces New Mexico, who joins us from Western New Mexico University. Brooklynn is an incredibly competitive athlete and one of the hardest workers we've seen. Her drive and dedication make her a perfect fit for the T-Bird family, and we feel very fortunate to have her on board."

Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona

High School: Pinnacle High School

Kiana is a wonderful teammate and a fierce competitor, and we can't wait to see her grow and develop as a player here at SUU.
