CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Women's Soccer team closes out non-conference play at home against the Vikings of Portland State University. The Thunderbirds will be honoring 10 seniors before the match starts.

The Thunderbirds
The Thunderbirds are competing in their third straight home match and are coming off a 2-0 loss to Northern Arizona last time out.Â
SUU has scored in five of its seven matches this season, but has yet to score two goals in a single match.Â
Senior Avery Kyle leads the team in total points, with a goal and two assists on the year. Seniors Sarah Assumma, Whitney Gardner, and Aubrie Labno also have one goal each.
Senior Jazmyn Brass has played every minute in goal for the Thunderbirds this season and is second in the WAC in total saves.
Gardner and Assumma lead the team in total shots with 12 each, and Gardner leads the team with seven of her 12 shots landing on target.
Nao Yasuda leads the field players in total minutes played with 592, with Senior Aubrey Murray not far behind at 568.

The Vikings
PSU currently sits at 1-3-2 on the year, and will be playing at Utah Tech on Friday, September 19, before heading up to Cedar City.
The Vikings' lone win came at home against Western Oregon. Last time out, PSU earned a 1-1 draw against the University of Portland off an 89th-minute equalizer from Ocean Rideout.
Rideout leads the team in total points this year with two goals (four points). Five of her eight shot attempts have been on target. Aliayha Saldana is the only Viking with double-digit shot attempts (14).
Natalie Cunningham and Finley Crabtree have shared time in goal this season, combining for 25 saves over six matches played. Crabtree earned the win against Western Oregon.
