The Thunderbirds
Whitney Gardner is coming off a three-point performance against Portland State last time out, where she netted the game-equalizing goal, and then assisted the game-winning goal in a 3-2 comeback win. This earned Gardner the WAC Offensive Player of the Week award, her second time getting that honor. The performance also helped Whitney surpass SUU Hall-of-Famer Stacey Brinkman for the top spot in total career points.Â
Freshman Dakota Hansen also logged a three-point outing. Scoring the first goal of the contest on a beautiful header off a corner kick, and then also assisted Gardner on her goal, again heading the ball to the feet of Whitney.

Jazmyn Brass is second in the WAC in total saves, with 40 so far. She has also had four shutout halves this season, including the second half against PSU, which was instrumental in the Thunderbirds securing their first win.

UT currently sits at second in the conference standings with a 4-3-2 record on the year, with wins against UCR, CSUN, Idaho State, and PSU. UT lost to Boise State 2-1, a notable result as SUU earned a 1-1 draw with BSU.
