Game Recap

The Thunderbirds again gave up an early goal, Cassie Villanuave found the back of the net off a quality cross from Kylie Camp in the 13th minute.

SUU did a good job the rest of the first half, creating chances and holding the Rebels at bay. The half came to a close at 1-0.

The T-Birds started the second half on fire. Their first possession was a pass from Avery Kyle to Whitney Gardner, who played a beautiful one-touch ball to Sarah Assumma, who saw space and fired a rocket to the bottom right corner of the net, tying the game at 1-1.

SUU possessed the ball very well in the second half, but was unable to find that final ball that led to real scoring chances. The Rebels earned a corner with just 15 minutes remaining, and Elisa Corvalan found a bouncing ball at her feet and tapped it into the back of the net for the game-winner.

Jazmyn Brass punched a cross out of the box, and Whitley Cadence was there with space and finished it. The game concluded at 3-1.
