CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Men's Golf team will be in Boulder City, Nevada, on Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10, participating in the Jackrabbit Invitational at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. The tournament is hosted by South Dakota State.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"We made some changes to the lineup to try and find some scoring as a team. This is a scoreable golf course if the weather is decent. We just have to be disciplined throughout three rounds."
Tournament Details
What: The Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State
Where: The Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The course is a par 72 that plays 7,300 yards.
When: Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10.
Who:Â South Dakota State, Western Illinois, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Youngstown State, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (AZ), Morehead State, Missouri State, IU-Indianapolis, and Kansas City.
Format: The field will play 36 holes on Monday, and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Each day will start with an 8:00 a.m. PT shotgun.

Braylon Bingham led the Thunderbirds with a strong showing, finishing tied for 22nd at +6. Bingham opened with a 73 and added an even-par 71 in the second round to pace the SUU lineup.
Uy Doan followed in a tie for 48th at +11, highlighted by a steady final-round 73 (+2). Charlie Gillespie finished just behind him in a tie for 52nd at +12 after rounds of 77, 73, and 75.
Jing-Cheng (Jarell) Wang posted a +23 to place 73rd, while Sky Moon rounded out the Thunderbird lineup at +25, bouncing back with the team's best final round of the day with a 72 (+1).
SUU had a total of 21 birdies and an eagle through the 54 holes.
Southern Utah showed improvement as the tournament progressed, shaving nine strokes off its opening round by the final day while competing against a solid West Coast field. The Thunderbirds will look to carry that late momentum into their next spring event.
This will be Cherry's first event of the spring, and Luke Barnes is coming off his second-best tournament round of the season, a +4, 76 in the final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
