CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Women's golf team is heading to McKinney, Texas, for the final WAC Women's Golf Championship Tournament. The Tournament will be on April 20-22 at the Stonebridge Ranch Hills Course.
Head Coach Caylyn McKinley said
"We are excited to compete in one more WAC Championship Tournament. We have had a good week of practice and are focused on improving with each round."

Last Time Out at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational
Southern Utah Women's Golf wrapped up play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Arizona, finishing 20th overall with rounds of 334, 321, and 308 for a three-round total of 963 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Thunderbirds were led by Kirsten Hall, who finished tied for 99th with a three-round total of 238 (+22). Hall opened the tournament with an 82 (+10), followed by a 77 (+5) in round two, and closed with a 79 (+7).
Kiana Roddy delivered a strong final round for Southern Utah, carding a 73 (+1) to finish 102nd overall at 239 (+23). Roddy's final round marked the lowest score of the tournament for the Thunderbirds.
Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam finished at 247 (+31) after rounds of 92, 78, and 77, while Ellie Olsen posted a three-round total of 250 (+34) with rounds of 88, 83, and 79.
Reece Bandemer rounded out the Thunderbird lineup, finishing at 269 (+53) after posting scores of 81, 100, and 88. Taylyn Wilson also competed as an individual, finishing with a three-round total of 264 (+48).
Southern Utah showed improvement throughout the tournament, shaving 26 strokes off its team score from round one to round three. The Thunderbirds' strong finish in the final round highlighted their resilience as they competed against a deep and talented field.
