CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Women's Soccer team is continuing the East Coast stretch with a match at South Carolina State on Friday, August 14.

Head Coach Steven Lindquist said

"Excited to get back out and compete as a group! We are looking forward to building on some of the bright spots from the last match as we head to Orangeburg!"

The Thunderbirds

SUU is coming off a 3-1 loss in the season opener at College of Charleston. The T-Birds scored the first goal of the game, but allowed three unanswered goals from the Cougars.

Kayleigh Acree scored the goal for the Thunderbirds with an assist from Gracen Blieschke. Acree also led the team with three total shots and two shots on target.

Madeline Buczyna also recorded a shot on goal for the Thunderbirds.

Freshman goalkeeper Tatum Trout made two saves in the match on 14 total shots faced.
