CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Soccer team is coming off a 1-0 victory over South Carolina State last time out, has improved to 1-1-0 on the year, and has also earned Head Coach Steven Lindquist his first career win.

The Thunderbirds

Last Time Out
The Thunderbirds finished with 12 total shots and seven shots on target, compared to just three and one for SC State.

Gracen Blieschke led the team with six shot attempts, and she and Kayleigh Acree tied with two shots on goal. Halle Cowan, Sophia Memory, and Reese Peterson all also recorded shots on target.

Trout recorded one save on the night, and the defense allowed just three shot attempts.

Nao Yasuda, Rylan Tebbs, and Brooklyn Bradley all played the full 90 for the defense.

Blieschke and Acree have already proven to be a tough tandem to deal with through two matches, and the veteran-heavy defense is coming off a shutout.

The Bulldogs

The Citadel tied their only match of the year in a comeback fashion after allowing two goals in the first half to Queens; the Bulldogs responded with a pair of goals in the second half to finish with a 2-2 draw.

Samantha Grantham is the team's 2026 military captain and an offensive force. Registering a goal and an assist in the program's season opener.

Jasiah Pack recorded a goal and three shots, all on target.
