CEDAR CITY, Utah -- For the second time this season, and the fourth time in his career, Thunderbird junior Jake Vincent has been named Big Sky Men's Golfer of the Week.

Vincent earned his first collegiate victory at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational, shooting a six-under 138 (70, 68) and sinking a clutch putt on the 18th green to secure a share of the victory.

Vincent tied with Cooper Sears from Middle Tennessee State, and no playoff was held to determine an outright winner due to time constraints.

"This was an impressive victory for Jake and were excited to see where he goes from here knowing he's got a tournament win under his belt," SUU head coach Richard Church said.

The Thunderbirds will be back in action next week as they'll compete at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, California.
