CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University women's tennis team will be traveling to Idaho to face the Boise State Broncos at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28.
Last Time Out
The Thunderbirds last faced Western New Mexico University in St. George, Utah where they swept their opponents 7-0.
Zoe Tanti began singles play against Julia Tozzi where she claimed the first T-Bird victory 6-4, 6-4. In the No. 2 position, Daniela Cozzi defeated WNMU's Camila Gomez 3-6, 6-4, 10-3. Georgia Hosking faced Julia Terrazas where she secured another Thunderbird victory 6-1, 6-2. Paula Tascon also claimed the victory against Kojsa Gedlitschka 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles play, Alexandra Ngo and Jessica Stefan helped to secure the Thunderbird sweep where they defeated their opponents 6-0.
Opponent Preview
Boise State University is currently 8-2 overall in the 2020 campaign. The Broncos concluded their 2019 season 7-12 overall and 0-5 in the Mountain West conference.
The two teams last faced each other in February of 2018 where the T-Birds fell 0-7.
Tanti and alumni athlete Charity Sagiao claimed the only T-Bird win in doubles play against their opponents 6-4.
