CEDAR CITY, Utah - The NCAA announced Thursday qualifiers for the Western Regional of the 2023 Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Eight Southern Utah athletes qualified for the highly anticipated NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. These outstanding individuals have showcased their exceptional skills and dedication, securing their spots among the nation's top athletes in their respective events.
The following Southern Utah athletes have earned their rightful place in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships:

Haley Tanne (Anderson) - Event: 3000m Steeplechase

These exceptional athletes have demonstrated remarkable talent and relentless training throughout the year. Their outstanding performances during the season have been record-breaking for the Thunderbird Track and Field program and have earned them well-deserved recognition on a national level.
Coach Eric Houle expressed immense pride in the achievements of the Thunderbird athletes, stating, "These are some of the best athletes in the NCAA. It's going to be fun watching them represent SUU at the first round of the national championships."
The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Western Regional, taking place from May 24 to May 27 in Sacramento, California, will bring together the finest collegiate athletes, providing an extraordinary platform to showcase their skills on a grand stage.
