BOSTON - Astley Davis and Isaiah Labra of the Southern Utah University track & field program wrapped up competition at the NCAA Track & Field Indoor Championships with Davis taking 16th place in the triple jump and Labra securing 12th in the mile run. With these results, both athletes also secured Track & Field Second-Team All-American awards.
Head Coach Eric Houle Said:
"Isaiah and Astley made it to the highest level at the NCAA. They walked out as second-team All-Americans; what an excellent season for them and the program."
On Friday, Labra finished the mile run prelims with a time of 4:00.67, good for 12th place in the event, in front of competitors from Drake, Boston College, and Furman.
In Saturday's triple jump final, Davis took 16th place with a distance of 49'09.00", just behind athletes from Northern Arizona and South Carolina.
