PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA -- Rashon Williams completed 54 holes of play at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship at the historic TPC Sawgrass. The tournament highlights the country's most underserved and underrepresented Minority-Serving Institutions.
Quotes From Head Coach Richard Church
"Super proud of Rashon and excited about his opportunity to play in this event. It was a quality experience for him and will help him throughout the rest of his career."
Williams finished 25th in the Men's Individual division, shooting rounds of 84, 79, and 85.
"I didn't play as well as I would have liked, but overall, it was an unbelievable experience, getting to be around other minorities like myself and form some relationships I otherwise wouldn't have been able to. I am very grateful," said Williams.
The first and third rounds were played at the Stadium Course, and the second round was at the Valley Course.
Yuqi Liu, from the University of Michigan, won the Individual Men's Division, shooting three under par for the tournament.
Florida A&M won the Men's Division I section.
