CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The Thunderbird Men's Golf team is headed back to Colorado for the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, which the University of Colorado will host from September 30 to October 1.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"We had a good week of practice, the guys are prepared to take on a challenging course and improve on our first tournament."

Format: 36 holes of continuous play (foursomes) on Monday (Sept. 30) with a shotgun format start in carts at 8:15 a.m. (MDT), 18 holes on Tuesday (Oct. 1) with a staggered shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., with tee times for the top four teams off No. 1 from 8:10 to 8:50 a.m.

The Thunderbirds
Sophomore Charlie Gillespie will play the one spot for the Thunderbirds, coming off a quality finish of even-par as an individual in SUU's first tournament. Jing-Cheng (Jarell) Wang will play the two spot and will be making his debut in the lineup for the Thunderbirds.
Colton Cherry will be the third in the lineup and looks to improve on a tough first tournament. Donovan Barnes, the top finisher for SUU at the GMFI, will be in the fourth spot, and Sky Moon, a freshman from Beaver, Utah, will debut for SUU in the fifth spot.
