CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- SUU Women's Soccer will host two home contests this week. Taking on Colorado College on Thursday, Sep 5, and the University of Denver on Sep 8. The Sunday game is Senior Day for eight fantastic players. Be sure to come out and show support!
Head Coach Kai Edwards said
"Last week our team showed a lot of fight and togetherness to earn a point versus a team we haven't earned a point against since 2015."

The Thunderbirds
SUU is coming off securing their first points of the season with a tie against Eastern Washington on a late equalizer from Whitney Gardner. Gardner leads the team with two goals on the year, and Steph Roper leads the team with two assists, both with Gardner on the receiving end.Â
The Thunderbirds have done an amazing job creating scoring opportunities, outshooting their opponents 14-11 on average.
Darya Mosallaei is getting more comfortable in the net, coming up with big saves at the end of the EWU game to keep it a 1-1 tie. She has 15 saves on the year.Â
Colorado College
The Tigers are currently 3-3 on the year and are coming off a tough 2-0 loss to the University of Denver.
Freshman Finley Schoenbeck and junior Kylie Smith lead the Tigers in total points with five (2g, 1a) each.
CC is 0-2 on the road this year and 0-1 in neutral-site games.Â
University of Denver
The Pioneers are the reigning Summit League Champions and are currently on a four-game winning streak, including three consecutive shutouts. They will take on No. 18-ranked Colorado before making their way to Cedar City.Â
Sophomore Michaela McGowan is currently in a four-way tie for No. 1 in the country, with six assists in total. She has been involved in eight of DU's last 10 goals.Â
For the eighth straight season, the Pioneers are picked to win the Summit League in the preseason coaches poll.Â
