CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- SUU Men's Golf is heading to Fresno, California to compete in the Nick Watney Invitational hosted by Fresno State. The tournament is filled with a highly talented field.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"We have been going to this tournament for a while now and the field is always competitive. We learned a lot from our last tournament and know what we need to do to be successful."
Tournament Info
What: The Nick Watney Invitational hosted by Fresno State
When: Monday and Tuesday, February 24-25.
Where: The Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno, California. The course is 6,938 yards and plays to a par 71.
Who:Â Air Force, CSUN, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Idaho, Pacific, Sacramento State, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Southern Utah*, UC San Diego and Utah Valley*

Format: The team will play 54 holes over two days. 36 holes will be played on Monday, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Five players compete for each team, with the best four scores counting towards a team total. Each day will be a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m.

An even par final round from Rashon Williams propelled him to a team-best T17 finish at the Vanharte Orange County Collegiate Classic last time out. Williams had two birdies and two bogeys in the final round.
Sophomore Charlie Gillespie was top-ten through the first 36 holes. Firing rounds of 71 and 74 on day one. Gillespie made a total of eight birdies for the tournament and finished T20. Boston Dixon competed as an individual and had a quality opening in round 77, which led to a T45 finish.
