BOULDER CITY, NEVADA -- The SUU Men's Golf team secured its best finish of the season at the 2025 Jackrabbit Invitational, shooting 48-over par and finishing solo sixth.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"I am proud of the way we competed in this tournament. Would have loved to have had a better final round, but our guys are continuing to learn how to compete, and our young guys are getting quality tournament experience."

The Thunderbirds
SUU shot +14, 302 in both rounds on the tournament's opening day, then came out and shot a +20, 308 in the final round.
Charlie Gillespie led the way for the Thunderbirds, finishing tied for 12th at +9, with an even par 72 in the second round. Rashon Williams wasn't far behind, finishing T16 at +11.Â
Luke Barnes competed as an individual and turned in a gritty T18. After firing an opening round 80, Barnes shot an even par in round two and then +4 in the final round.
Jing-Cheng (Jarell) Wang had an awesome opening round 73, but slowed down in rounds two and three to come in at +15 in a tie for 25th. Leo Torres was also T25 at +15.
Boston Dixon had two eagles on the tournament, and finished T43 at +21.
