CEDAR CITY, Utah — The Southern Utah Track and Field team will continue its season at the Ron Mann Classic on the campus of Northern Arizona University and the UW Invite at the University of Washington.
Head Coach Eric Houle said
"We're splitting the squad this weekend to give each group the best competitive opportunity. Some of our distance athletes will test themselves at the University of Washington, while our sprinters, jumpers, throwers, and a few distance runners will compete at NAU. The sprint and jump groups are building momentum as we prepare for Reno next weekend, and we want to see continued progress from last meet. Our distance women heading to Washington are chasing marks that can push them into the top 10 in the conference, and our younger sprinters and jumpers at NAU are focused on improving their marks and strengthening their positions heading into championship season."

Ron Mann Classic
Southern Utah will once again travel to the Walkup Skydome in Flagstaff, Ariz., for competition against Northern Arizona, Cal State Bakersfield, Grand Canyon University, UC Riverside, and Utah Tech.

The meet begins at 2 p.m. with the women's long jump, weight throw, and pole vault. The final event of the day will be the men's triple jump and men's shot put at 6:30 pm.
UW Invite
Southern Utah will send some distance athletes to Seattle, Wash., to compete at the UW Invite.

Men's Last Time Out
Southern Utah's men delivered a competitive showing last time out, highlighted by strong sprint performances and key scoring finishes across multiple events. Ashton Miller led the way in the 400 meters, clocking 47.22 to earn the event win and a new personal best, while Jaedyn Carpenter followed closely with a runner-up finish in 47.28. Kadan Allen added points for the Thunderbirds in the 800 meters, winning the event in 1:52.97 to move into the national rankings. In the field, Dylan Cooks captured the triple jump title with a personal-best mark of 14.92 meters (48-11.50), while Divin Kalanga added a podium finish in the long jump at 7.02 meters (23-0.50). Southern Utah capped the meet with a strong showing in the 4x400-meter relay, as Carpenter, Miller, Ace Brown, and Matthew Hayes combined for a second-place finish in 3:20.56.
Women's Last Time Out
Southern Utah's women recorded multiple top finishes and personal-best performances, showing depth across track and field events. Chloe Bingham led the field event group with a runner-up finish in the high jump, clearing 1.67 meters (5-5.75), while Chayanne Gordon matched that result with a second-place finish in the shot put at 12.57 meters (41-3.00). On the track, Sabrina Wright posted a personal-best time of 57.96 in the 400 meters, contributing to the Thunderbirds' scoring efforts. Southern Utah also delivered a strong relay performance, finishing second in the 4x400 meters as Sydney Gibson, Addison Wilcox, Mia Kauffman, and Wright combined to run 4:09.30.
