CEDAR CITY, Utah — The Southern Utah University Dance Team will host a Spring Dance Clinic on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SUU Multipurpose Gym. The clinic is open to advanced dancers in middle school and up and costs $65 per participant.
Head Dance Team Coach Averi Rutherford Said
"We're excited to welcome dancers into our gym and give them a chance to experience what it's like to train with our program. This clinic is all about pushing technique, having fun, and sharing the passion and energy that defines the SUU Dance Team."
The SUU Dance Team is known for bringing energy and precision to every performance, and this clinic gives dancers a chance to learn firsthand what that level is all about. Participants will train alongside team members while working on jazz technique, sideline dances, hip hop tricks, and learning both a jazz and hip hop routine.
The clinic is designed to challenge dancers, build confidence, and give them a real feel for what it's like to dance at the collegiate level. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing and appropriate dance shoes.
A signed waiver is required and should be emailed to averirutherford@suu.edu prior to the clinic, though printed waivers will also be accepted at check-in.
For dancers looking to grow their skills and spend a day dancing with one of the region's top collegiate programs, this clinic is a great opportunity.
Come dance with the SUU Dance Team and experience the energy, performance, and Thunderbird spirit!
