The Southern Utah University Dance Team will hold auditions for the 2026–27 season on May 22–23, 2026, on the SUU campus in Cedar City, Utah. Prospective team members are invited to showcase their technical ability, performance quality, and stage presence as they compete for a spot on the nationally competitive program.

Audition Information
The SUU Dance Team is seeking dancers with advanced-level technique, strong performance ability, and dynamic stage presence. Audition material will primarily feature pom, jazz, and hip hop styles.
Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate:
- Consistency and control
- Strong technical execution
- Precision and performance quality
- Entertainment value and audience engagement
Team members should also be comfortable with cheer-style arm motions and performing with pom poms.
Audition Attire
Dancers should arrive in fitted dancewear with a clean, collegiate performance appearance, including full hair and makeup.

Time Commitment
Weekly Practices
Approximately 6–10 hours per week
Additional Commitments
Team members will participate in choreography sessions, athletic events, and community appearances throughout the season, including:
- Home football games
- Volleyball matches
- Men's and Women's basketball games
- Gymnastics meets
- Additional university and community events
Nationals Competition
The team will compete at the USA Collegiate Championships on February 20–21, 2027, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
Team Member Requirements
All team members must:
- Be enrolled full-time at SUU (minimum 12 credit hours)
- Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
- Serve as positive representatives of the university and community
- Participate in school events and community service opportunities
About the Team
The SUU Dance Team is the officially recognized dance team of Southern Utah University and is part of the university's Spirit Program alongside the Cheer and Stunt Teams. The team supports the SUU Athletic Department throughout the year while representing the university at athletic events, campus functions, and national competitions.

The 2026–27 roster is expected to include approximately 12–20 members.
