SOMIS, CALIFORNIA -- The SUU Men's Golf Team opened the spring season with a quality fifth-place finish at the Bill Cullum Invitational played at The Saticoy Golf Club, hosted by CSU Northridge. The T-Birds fired rounds of 302, 302, and 303 to finish at +43 as a team.
The team's solo fifth-place finish is the best result of the year, and was just ahead of WAC opponents California Baptist and Utah Tech.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"I am proud of the team. This is a tough golf course that we handled pretty well. There are still some mistakes that we can fix, still making too many double-bogeys, but the team looked good after a long offseason."
