CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Soccer team is coming off back-to-back wins on the East Coast over South Carolina State and The Citadel. The Thunderbirds stand at 2-1-0 this year and face their toughest challenge yet, playing Big 12 opponent The University of Utah.

The Thunderbirds

Southern Utah is coming off two straight wins on the East Coast, improving to 2-1-0 on the season.

The Thunderbirds have scored first in each of their three matches and have posted two clean sheets so far.

Freshman forward Gracen Blieschke has been a force for the T-Birds offensively. Leading the team in total shots, shots on goal, and points. Kayleigh Acree and Sophia Memory are the other Thunderbirds with a goal on the year.

Another freshman making an impact is goalkeeper Tatum Trout, who made four saves in the shutout win over The Citadel, including a penalty kick save with 13 minutes left.

The defensive backline of Rylan Tebbs, Nao Yasuda, and Brooklyn Bradley has been outstanding for SUU.

The Utes

Utah is 1-0-1 on the year, with a season-opening 0-0 draw against Big Sky opponent Weber State. 

The Utes' first win of the year was a 2-0 victory at Utah Valley. Abby Affleck and Sophie Bellini lead the team in total shots and shots on goal.

Anna Solomon has been between the posts for all 180 minutes so far and has had six saves in both matches, with two clean sheets.
