CEDAR CITY, Utah – Despite several tie-breaking sets, the Southern Utah Thunderbirds Women's Tennis team fell 7-0 against the Sacramento State Hornets.

The Hornets started the meet sweeping the Thunderbirds in doubles play, picking up the doubles point.

In singles play, SUU came out much more aggressive, forcing tie-breakers in the singles matches of both Vernokia Rogova and Evgenia Marushko. Both eventually went the way of the Hornets.

Rogova won the first set in a tie breaker, before falling 1-6 and then 7-10 in a tie breaker.

The Southern Utah Thunderbirds Women's Tennis team will have their final match of the season this Saturday at 10 a.m. in Cedar City.
