LOS ANGELES Calif. -- The Thunderbird women's tennis team took out California State University Los Angeles this weekend 6-3 while on the road in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.
In the doubles competition, Alex Ngo and Mikala Lowrance took our Isabella Lopez and Luciana DiLaura of Cal State Los Angeles 8-2 in the No. 2 position after Southern Utah lost in the No. 1 spot.
Laura Martin and Zoe Tanti follow suit winning in the No. 3 position for the Thunderbirds, putting Southern Utah up 2-3.
The T-Birds dominated the singles competition going 4-2. In the No. 1 and 2 spots, CSULA started off strong, but the Thunderbirds found their groove and took off from the No. 3 spot, not losing another match.
In the No. 6 spot, Alex Ngo came away with the win in a very close contest against Chelsey Ruiz from Cal State LA.

After a well deserved win, head coach Rose Ketmayura commented about the match, "I'm really proud of how the girls competed this weekend. They were able to execute things we have been working hard on."
