MOSCOW, Idaho – Southern Utah women's tennis team fell to the University of Idaho 5-2 on Saturday.
In the doubles competition, the No. 1 spot went unfinished, followed by the Vandals winning the No. 2 and 3 spots to win the doubles point.
Idaho came out strong, taking the No. 1 and 2 spots to put the overall score 3-0.
Alex Ngo of Southern Utah claimed a victory in the No. 5 spot against Shion Watabe 6-2, 6-3.
The Vandals responded with a win in the No. 6 spot. Eira Tobrand was able to step up and mark another point for the Thunderbirds by winning in the No. 3 spot in a close contest, 7-6, 6-2.
Idaho took the last point, in the No. 4 spot to end the match 5-2.
