LAS VEGAS — The Southern Utah Women's tennis team competed at the ITA Regionals where several athletes rose to the occasion.
Daniela Cozzi and Zoe Tanti teamed together in the first day of play where they fell to Joana Baptista and Lilian Polling of Boise State, 8-6. Later in the weekend, the pair turned around to compete against Rafa Mora and Milenia Balianovich from UNC where they finished victorious in an 8-5 match.
The duo also finished victorious against Cali Fuller and Kaitlyn Lombardi closing the match 8-5.
In singles competition, Chloe Purkiss faced Rachel Lee from UNLV where she claimed the win 6-2, 6-2. Purkis later withdrew from competition due to injury.
