ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The Thunderbirds finished competition at the Don Kirby Invitational in New Mexico with big performances from several athletes.
Justin Lewis started the second day of competition with a second place finish in the 400-meter with a time of 46.93.
In the 60-meter, Tre James finished with a time of 6.78. This time ranked James seventh overall in the competition.
Cannon Brunsvik competed in the field for the Thunderbirds in the shot put. The field athlete finished with a mark of 57' 1". This mark ranks second in school history and seventh in the competition.
On the women's side of the team, Destiny Tolliver competed in the 60-meter hurdles. Tolliver locked in a time of 9.02 finishing 15th overall. She was followed by Natalie Kalda with a time of 9.47.
Linnea Saltz competed in the 400-meter where she locked in an eighth place finished with a time of 55.27.
The Thunderbirds will compete at the NAU Tune-Up and the Alex Wilson Invite on February 15 and 16 before appearing at the Big Sky Indoor Championships.
