CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbird women's tennis team will be competing against University of Maryland on Friday, January 24 followed by Coppin State University on Saturday, January 25 in College Park, Md.

Last Time Out

The Thunderbirds last competed against University of Colorado where they fell 0-7. They later competed against Fresno State where the T-Birds were topped by the competition 1-6.

Jessica Stefan and Chloe Purkiss helped to secure points for the T-Birds in doubles play where they finished 6-4 overcoming their opponents. Zoe Tanti and Daniela Cozzi also aided in securing points in doubles play with a win over Fresno 6-3.

Opponent Preview: University of Maryland

The University of Maryland currently sits 1-0 in the 2020 spring season. In 2019, the Terps finished 3-18 overall and 1-10 in the Big Ten Conference.

The Thunderbirds will be facing the Terps for the first time on January 24 at 10:00 a.m.

Opponent Preview: Coppin State University

Coppin State University finished their 2019 campaign 2-12 overall and 1-4 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

This will be the first time the two teams have faced each other.
