PORTLAND -- The Southern Utah University women's tennis team opened Big Sky conference play against Portland State where they fell 0-7.

Alexandra Ngo and Paula Tascon fought against Portland's Alli Valk and Emily Rees in doubles, but were topped by the Viking duo 4-6.

In singles play, Daniela Cozzi faced Jacinta Milenkoski where she started the match strong but ultimately fell 7-5, 0-6, 0-1.

The Thunderbirds will face Western New Mexico University next in St. George, Utah on February 21.
