CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Thunderbird volleyball program has announced the dates of the 2020 summer camps and clinics.
"We are excited for our third year of camps here at Southern Utah. Camp is one of our favorite times of year and hope to see many new and familiar faces this summer. We love being in the gym with little T-Birds, growing the game in our local community and showing off our beautiful campus and facilities."
This is the third summer of camps under the direction of coach Hoyer.
The last two years, the High School Advanced Camp has sold out, so those interested don't waste any time getting signed up. There have also been over 16 states represented, giving players an opportunity to compete against some of the top players from around the nation.
This year that camp will take place from July 23-25.
SUU will be offering a Spring Clinic in May, along with a Junior Spiker's Camp from July 20-22.
The Spring Clinic is aimed for female athletes looking to compete on the collegiate level, while the Junior Spiker's Camp is aimed for younger boys and girls that will be split up by age and skill set to create the best experience for each individual.
There will be Offensive and Defensive specific clinics for High School students on July 20 and 21, along with a Beginner's Serving Clinic on July 22.
The Offensive and Defensive Clinics will provide specific direction on each side of the net, allowing athletes to build up specific aspects of their games.
The Beginner's Serving Clinic will teach new players how to improve their consistency, location and technique when it comes to a very vital aspect of the game.

SUU Volleyball Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.

Please Note
The volleyball program is hopeful campus operations will be back to normal by the time these camps are scheduled. If they are not, the price of camp will be refunded and camps/clinics will be rescheduled due to uncertainties involving COVID-19.
